Write a book review for your personal novel. If you are unsure of the format, read other reviews online (for your novel or any other). Essentially, it should be an entertaining and edifying article about why someone should (or shoult not) read the book. And most importantly: no spoilers!
Somehow, you must include: your initial expectations; your first reactions; brief descriptions of the main characters, setting, and main conflict; a description of the author’s writing style; the genre(s) the novel falls under; and the intended audience. Of course, it must also include your opinions about whether the book accomplishes the tasks it sets out for itself: does it entertain? educate? make you think? persuade you? et.c
This is informal writing, so try to make your voice heard! Length: approximately 400 words, multi-paragraph.
To "hand in" your review, you have three options:
a) Copy and paste it into a comment to this blog post. Because reformatting may reoccur, check that the paragraphs stay separated and headlines stand out, etc.
b) Post your review on amazon.ca and then post a link to it in a comment for to this blog post. Please indicate what name you wrote under (use an alias) so I know which one is yours.
c) Follow the same procedure as in (b), except post your review to librarything.com. This will require you to create an account on that site.
